Nighttime challenge, this was the hardest for me so far. I waited until sat night because it has been so cold here in lovely michigan and i had no interest in going outside pregnant with tons of snow still on ground. I did get some fun outside photos downtown flint on an evening out to dinner some at dusk and some at night. unfortanately i left my camera at home and these are all iphone photos so quality of pic is definately lacking sorry.. Beck I enjoyed the challenge though and look forward to exploring more nighttime photos as it warms up! I need the practice.

I can't believe anyone would be in Flint at night...you silly girl! I liked the no walking sign at dusk as well as the Flint sign, and the street light on #1 brings added interest in with the tree. Enjoyed them all!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joanne, Well there are a few lil trendy restuarants downtown flint now that are tasty so we venture out here and there. I always feel safe with my hubby in tow he is always on guard. lol. Plus I went to school there at U of M Flint, so I am pretty comfortable but always watching my back. lol
DeleteTonya, good job using your phone!!! Your effort to "the cause" is appreciated! and I think you were able to capture good shots with that talented eye you have. My favorite is #1 due to the angle of the shot and the composition. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteTonya, These phones are incredible. I thought you used a tripod. Very nice shots. The Flint Vehicle arch was really good.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I can't figure out. The last one with you know who looking out the window. There are some gold colored streaks up under the roof. This suggests some shutter time to take the shot but the snow is stopped. Did the flash fire? I think the light through the doorwall lit the snow and made streaks only right there.
The last one is the only shot I did with my camera and yes I used a flash.
DeleteVery nice pictures Tonya but number one, followed very closely bt number 2 were just fantastic pictures..Outstanding shots!!!!! We go to Flint every year for "back to the Bricks and we've always been impressed with the downtown area......Very nice pictures....
ReplyDeletetonyas i like the first one, i can tell it is more of a night time shot. the shape of the tree with the small lights and the street light in the background is a nice addition.
ReplyDeleteTonya, I also think the quality of these photos is excellent- you have nothing to apologize for! The camera phones are so high quality these days (and very handy.) I LOVE the texture of all of these- the composition and color of #1, the contrast of black against color in #2-5, the capture of snowfall in #6- great job!
